You came here for a number. I am not going to give you one, and I would rather say so in the first paragraph than bury it.
No UK installed price for the Samsung EHS Quint has been published. Not by Samsung, not by a distributor, not by anyone I can point at and stand behind. Every “from £X” you find at this stage is somebody’s guess dressed up as research — and once you have read a guess, it sticks.
So this page does the useful thing instead.
There is no confirmed UK price
At the time of writing there is no published UK installed price, no trade price and no confirmed list price for the EHS Quint. Nor a confirmed UK on-sale date — see the UK availability tracker for what has and has not been established there.
Installed prices come from a market of installers who have actually fitted the product and are competing with each other. That market has not formed yet.
I could invent a range anyway. It would be easy, it would probably rank, and it would be dishonest. The harm is specific: a made-up figure becomes your anchor. If the first real quote came in above it you would assume you were being fleeced, when you might simply be looking at a well-designed system in a difficult house. If it came in below, you would feel you had a bargain and stop asking questions.

What actually makes up the cost
An installed system is not a product purchase. It is a design, a set of components and several days of skilled work in your house. Here is where the money goes.

Count how many of those rows are about your house rather than about Samsung. That is the point.
Why the outdoor unit price tells you almost nothing
If a trade price for the outdoor unit appears tomorrow, people will treat it as the answer. It is not. The outdoor unit is one line in a long bill, and the rest is set by your building. Two identical Quints on the same street can produce very different totals because one house has accessible plant space and adequate radiators, and the other has a boarded-up chimney breast and undersized emitters throughout.
The Quint adds its own complication: it serves a wet system and air-to-air indoor units. The number of cooled rooms, and how far they sit from the outdoor unit, moves the total far more than the choice of outdoor unit ever will.
That is why the design survey comes before the price conversation. It turns an unanswerable question into a quotable one.

Before committing to one system or two, find out what your home actually needs.
Quint vs separate systems — how to compare like for like
The commercial argument is that one outdoor unit replaces two. To test it, compare totals. A fair comparison puts a single Quint quote against the whole conventional route: an air-to-water heat pump, a hot water cylinder, and a separate multi-split air-conditioning system. Both sides must include:
- Both design exercises — heat loss and emitter design for the wet system, plus a cooling load assessment for the air side
- Both installations — two mobilisations, two sets of access and making good, potentially two contractors
- Both sets of ongoing servicing — maintenance for the heat pump and for the air-conditioning system, including F-gas obligations
Compared that way, the conventional route is often less lopsided than a single-unit pitch implies, and it is proven and widely available today.
Then there is resilience, which rarely appears on a quote and should. One outdoor unit means one point of failure for heating, hot water and cooling at once. If it fails in February you have neither heating nor hot water. Two systems fail independently. Not an argument against the Quint — a trade-off to weigh alongside the money.
Grant caution — read this before you subtract anything
Do not deduct a grant from your budget until eligibility is confirmed for your exact configuration. Not the product in general. Your configuration.
As scheme facts: the Boiler Upgrade Scheme pays £7,500 towards an air source heat pump and £2,500 towards an air-to-air heat pump, with an additional £1,500 until March 2027 for off-gas-grid properties on oil or LPG. One grant per property, and no grants for hybrid systems or for replacing existing low-carbon heating.
Those are the scheme’s numbers. They are not your numbers, and nothing here says you will receive any of them.
The Quint does both jobs from one outdoor unit. Which category that falls into is an open question, and not one an installer can settle by asserting it on a quotation — see the Boiler Upgrade Scheme page. Until eligibility is confirmed, budget on the gross figure and treat any grant as an upside nobody has promised you.
If a quote shows a grant already deducted, ask what that deduction is based on. “It’s a heat pump, so it gets the grant” is not an answer.
What a trustworthy quote looks like on price
You cannot judge whether a price is fair without knowing what it contains. A quote worth taking seriously will:
- Itemise — equipment, cylinder, indoor units, emitter changes, electrics, controls, access, making good and commissioning shown separately, not one figure for “supply and install”
- State its assumptions — flow temperature, radiators changed, pipe routes, supply adequacy, cylinder location, rooms cooled
- State its exclusions — scaffolding, asbestos, DNO upgrades, decoration, floor lifting, planning; anything excluded should be named, not left silent
- Flag provisional sums — anything unknowable until work starts should be labelled provisional, with the basis stated, so you know which parts can move
- Show grant treatment gross and net, with eligibility marked confirmed or not confirmed

How much does the Samsung EHS Quint cost?

Why won't you give me a ballpark?
Because a ballpark from someone who has never priced this system in a UK house is a guess, and guesses anchor expectations. You would end up judging real quotes against a number I invented.
Is it cheaper than a heat pump plus air conditioning?
Unknown, and it depends on the house. The argument is that one outdoor unit and one installation should beat two of each. Whether that holds for you depends on how many rooms you want cooled, how far they sit from the outdoor unit and what your wet system needs. Compare totals, including both designs, installs and servicing regimes.
What is the most expensive part?
Rarely the outdoor unit. In retrofits it is usually the work the house needs — emitter changes, pipework routes, cylinder relocation, electrical upgrades and making good. That is why totals vary so much between properties.
Will the grant cover it?
Do not assume any grant applies. The scheme’s published values are £7,500 for an air source heat pump, £2,500 for an air-to-air heat pump and an additional £1,500 for eligible off-gas-grid properties until March 2027, but which category a dual-function installation falls into is not confirmed. Budget gross.
Should I wait for a price before doing anything?
No. Heat loss, emitter sizing, hot-water demand and cooling load do not change based on which product you eventually buy. Do that work now and you can judge prices properly when they appear.
